Does Macbook pro m3 US version differ from Middle East version?

Hello,

i’m trying to buy a new Macbook Pro m3 Pro, Someone offered me one and stated it is a US version, I live in the middle east and all my apple products are Middle East version.

Is there a difference in Macbook pro m3 pro US versions and middle eastern ones? Or are they the same.

i understand that the keyboard layout would be only English but other than that is there a difference?

for example: Hardwares, Network connectivity, Adapter voltage etc.

thanks in advance

The only difference other than the keyboard being US that I am aware of is the wall outlet plug. You will need a plug adapter to plug into the power outlet.

Why not look on the US site for models available in the US and check their specifications to the same models available in the Middle East?

I've traveled to many places in the world with my US Mac and have never run into any incompatibility issues.

Thanks a lot PRP for your reply, The guy is selling the device new, He stated he never opened it before, i tried to track the serial number, it gives the right model but no data on the purchase date on apple website, It asked to contact apple support to update the purchase date.

is that concerning?

Yes. You are being scammed.

Only buy Apple products from Apple itself or large, established, Authorized Apple resellers.

Usually, all internal components are identical. Only the keyboards are different. Sometimes iPhones in the US are different due to funky US cellular infrastructure. These days, that means eSim.

When I see " someone offered me one "

I immediately offer a suggestion

It is not related to the Hardware or the keyboard layout or the Voltage used in USA versus Middle East

Those aspects have been very well covered by @BobTheFisherman

Thanks Bob,

I looked into the specs for both versions and they are really the same, My concern arose when a friend of mine stated that the US version has different hardware components from the middle eastern one.

Thus, I’m trying to ask the community in case they are familiar with the differences (if there’s any) to help me make a proper decision on whether i should purchase the device or not.

For example, Iphones in the US dont have a spot for physical SIM unlike international versions, I’m wondering if some hardware components in Macbooks are similar to that narrative .

is that concerning? Moreover, Does that mean it is locked or needs to be unlocked or that’s a different story?

many thanks

We often see posts of people buying "new" computers from third parties and the computer will not work. It is often the case that such offers are from thieves or sellers who have not properly configured the computer for resale. My advice is to purchase a computer from an Apple store or known source that will allow a return if the computer does not work.
