iPhone unavailable

I have two iPhones , unfortunately my kid had entered too many times the wrong password and disabled my phone for more than 6 hours. Then when trying to open my phone once the 6 hours passed the phone said Unavailabe and the only way for me to get in it says, is to reset the iPhone. How can I get back into my phone without resetting it altogether and losing my data?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 14

Unfortunately, you can't. You will have to reset / erase the phone and then set it up again with a new passcode.

If you have a current backup of the phone, you can use the backup to restore data back to the phone, so the phone will look just like it did at the time of the backup.

If you forgot your iPhone passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it - Apple Support
