Physical Apple Credit Card expiration- But I’m traveling overseas

I received an email from Apple Card informing me that my Apple credit card will be expiring in a few months and that a new card will be shipped to my billing address. Fine. But I’ll be traveling in Asia (Thailand) for at least the next six months and won’t be back in the USA until the first part of next year.

I don’t particularly need the physical card, as I have the Apple Card registered in my Apple Wallet on my phone and IPad and on my Apple Watch, I think.

Will Apple ship the card to my temporary overseas address? Or if not, can I continue to use the card from my Apple Wallet? I know I’ve used it here in Thailand on various occasions, so it does work, at least for now.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I’d hate to fly back to the US just to activate a credit card.

You’ll need to address your concerns with an Apple Card Specialist.

CONTACTING — Goldman Sachs Bank

  • Write to: Goldman Sachs Bank, Lockbox 6112, P.O. Box 7247, Philadelphia, PA 19170-6112.

The expiration date for the virtual card and titanium card are usually different. You can confirm those date in your Wallet app.

The bigger concern is shipping overseas. The risk of fraud is very high and most banks refuse to ship a card overseas. Activating the card will another issue. Goldman has probably faced this before, but the exact answer may take several days or even a week or two. Just keep following up with their support team or a supervisor.
