Esim Card disappeared totally

I purchased a brand new Iphone 15 plus on May 21st 2024. I was one week in Florida and it worked fine. Then I was in Germany and England (UK) for one week and the phone worked fine. I then travelled to Spain-- one morning I was sitting and reading my email in the hotel lobby-- and I looked-- THE ESIM CARD WAS GONE.

I phoned T-mobile in the USA. "everything will be fine-- we can reset it when you provide your secret number.' I phoned back that evening and provided the secret number -- because I had it on my computer-- and well the esim card could not be reset.

I was told call the international line at T-mobile which I did and was redirected back to the USA -- and told maybe T-mobile in Germany might be able to help but if not then now I have to wait for 2 months until August 12th when I return to have service back.

I think this is an illustration of the technology tyranny that our US congress has enabled. I pay for a service and it does not work, due to no fault of my own.. and sure enough Apple says the carried will fix it and the carrier says-- Oh well we can't fix it if you are abroad.

Have you seen the wonderful commercials about traveling abroad -- and all the plans that make this posssi ble , Listen to me I HAVE NO SERVICE AT ALL FROM T MOBILE-- AND WILL PROBABLY END UP PAYING FOR 2 MONTHS FULL FREIGHT...

If you have some answers-- this would be great.

Wondering if there is anything in any of Apple support's articles is that may be helpful:

(1) Use eSIM while traveling internationally with your iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

What you need

(2) Find wireless carriers and worldwide service providers that offer eSIM service - Apple Support

Provides long lists, one under the other, for:

✽ Wireless carriers that support eSIM Carrier Activation. Eg: For USA lists: T-Mobile USA among others

For Spain: lists Vodafone

✽ Wireless carriers that support eSIM Quick Transfer: For USA lists: T-Mobile USA

✽ Wireless carriers that support other eSIM activation methods:

For USA: lists: T-Mobile USA among many others

For Spain: lists BetterRoaming Movistar Orange Pepephone Vodafone Yoigo

✽ Wireless carriers that support eSIM activation on prepaid plans for international travelers

ie: When traveling, you can stay connected through an international roaming plan from your existing

carrier. Alternatively, these carriers offer prepaid plans if you would like a local line while traveling

internationally.

For USA lists: T-Mobile USA amongst many others

For Spain lists: Orange Vodafone Yoigo

✽ Worldwide service providers: "allow you to stay connected with prepaid data plans that you can use at home or when you travel in over 190 countries and regions. You can also purchase a plan before traveling, making staying connected even easier." NB: Seems T Mobile is not on this shorter list ?

(3) What to do: If you can't set up an eSIM on your iPhone - Apple Support

(4) If Dual SIM with eSIM isn't working on your iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says:

Your iPhone or iPhone devices need the latest version of iOS that they can use.

and

About iOS 17 Updates - Apple Support says 17.5.1 is the newest iOS 17 update

If you need to update your iOS to the latest version, please remember to back up your data first

You can check for updates in Settings > General > Software Update

All the best :-)
