Seeing dates on texts, iPhone SE 3rd gen

To see when a specific message was sent or received in the Messages app on an iPhone, follow these steps:

Note this Time Stamp is for what you have sent and what you have received.

1. Open the Messages app on your iPhone.
2. Select the conversation containing the message you want to check the timestamp for.
3. Find the message you want to see the timestamp for.
4. Swipe left on the screen anywhere within the conversation. You can do this by placing your finger on the right side of the screen and swiping it to the left.

This action will reveal the timestamps for each message in the conversation, showing the exact time each message was sent or received. When you release your finger, the timestamps will disappear again.

Hold your Finger Down, and then Sipe:

As of this reply, your only option is to open a thread in the Messages app, > hold your finger down on the screen > and then swipe your finder to the left. All will times show.
