stylus not working with ipad

I have a stylus (tried and tested for over 3 years -my favorite one) that I use for everyday. I bought the new IPad 13 inch Pro and my stylus worked fine until yesterday. It would not move the screen at all. Thought maybe it was the tip, changed it and it still does not work. This is NOT my new Apple Pencil, but another stylus with a bigger rounded end. Mind you, I did not change any settings, but I went into my settings and looked and I up’d my sensitivity and that did not work either. It works for my finger and for the Apple Pencil. Any idea’s would be appreciated!

A basic capacitive/passive stylus (i.e., has no batteries - and cannot be recharged) should respond in exactly the same manner as a fingertip - regardless of the current iPad settings.

If instead the "stylus" (for which you have provided no details) uses a power source, its battery may have discharged - or you may have changed one or more of your iPad settings.

Given your statement concerning settings - and the stylus previously being usable with your iPad - something here doesn't compute...
