Updates DON'T reduce the health of a battery. Time and usage does. How many months have you owned your iPhone? On average, one can expect to see about a 1% drop in battery health per month of ownership. Battery health drop is not linear, meaning it can remain steady for a period of time, then drop a few points. One thing which is guaranteed is battery health will continue to decline and when your battery health dips to 80% or less, it will then be time to pay Apple to replace the battery in your iPhone. And your iPhone's battery health will one day drop to that level.
