Pairing Jawbone Jambox bluetooth speaker with iPad Model A2270

I used to be able to pair this bluetooth speaker with my iPad, but am wondering if the software is no long compatible as it will not pair. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I would

  1. make sure the speaker did not have an active connection to another device, many of my Bluetooth headset and speakers like to auto connect to my iPhone when turned on, can't pair it if it's has an active connection to another device at the time
  2. put it into pairing mode (if it is already in the list then I would make the iPad forget it and pair it once more)

with bluetooth devices it's 1 profile for each service and it's generic should if a device support the speaker profile called a2dp then it really should work with all devices in the world that as a bluetooth system that support the profiles

Yes, I did make sure that it was not paired with another device. I should mention that the iPad is running IpadOS 17.5.1 and the Jawbone Mini Jambox is an older model that used to pair perfectly. Now when I try to pair it, my iPad finds other devices in the apartment building but NOT the Mini Jawbone Jambox. I'm wondering IF the Jambox bluetooth software is no longer comparable. I do have my iPhone paired successfully with my bluetooth hearing aids, BUT they are not on my iPad. Don't know if THAT makes a difference. Thanks so much for you response
