iPhone trade in available if phone is remote erase?

Will iPhone take an iPhone that I could not factory restore, but do a remote erase on? It was turning on when I got the trade in agreement. But we didn’t do it before vacation and now it’s completely dead. We tired plugging it into the computer to restore, but the phone won’t stay on long enough to do it. At this point I don’t have time to send it out to repair it to, get it back to erase it. So will they take a remote erase? The next time they can get it to work the data will wipe.
