iPhone automatically connect to a hotspot even though auto join is set to Never

Hi, I use my spare iPhone 12 Pro Max as a dedicated personal hotspot device. I would connect my Macbook Air. However, I noticed that every time I connect Macbook to it, my iPhone 13 pro, the mobile i am using, would also auto connect to it. This is even though auto-join hotspot is set to Never. Now, my iPhone 13 pro and Macbook has the same appleid while my iPhone 12 Pro Max has a different appleid.

Is there a way to prevent my iPhone 13 from auto join? Now, I have to disconnect from hotspot and forget the iPhone 12 hotspot every time.

Hello TexkLiang,

The reason why your iPhone could be doing this is because your iPhone automatically remembers a network that you have previously connected to. If you don’t want your iPhone to be automatically connecting to that network, the best that you can do is forgetting the network.

I hope that this helps, please let us know if you need more help.
