Can Apple Cash card receive a merchant Refund?

I recently made a purchase and, due to circumstances, I am getting a partial refund from the merchant. I paid with my apple cash generated card number. Will this be able to receive the refund?

I used the Apple Cash Card funds towards the purchase, however due to the circumstances the merchant is refunding the amount back. Apple Cash In Store Refunds I work at a store where we accept Apple Pay as payment - yesterday someone wanted a refund for their purchase made with Apple Cash (NOT the Apple Card) and the system would not allow for us to refund back into Apple Cash. Has anyone experienced this and has any answers about how to do a refund back to Apple Cash if that’s how they paid?

Apple Card refund I used my Apple Card via ApplePay. 2 days later the merchant realized I was overcharged so he wanted to refund me. He calls me and is asking my Apple Card number to process a refund. My question is what Apple Card number should i give him for the refund to be processed ? The virtual? There is no card number printed on the card.

Yes, Apple Cash will receive a refund from a merchant.
