tvOS 17.5.1 disables 3rd party remotes

Everything working fine with my A1842 Apple TV 4k and 3rd party remotes until the dreaded "AUTOMATICALLY INSTALL UPDATES" installed 17.5.1, and now only the official Apple Siri remote works.

If anyone knows a fix for the 3rd party remotes, please let me know.

As for Apple, why would anyone follow your advice to automatically install updates for any of your devices, especially devices that support the latest releases, when, under the guise of fixing bugs, Apple does not thoroughly test its releases and those new releases almost always introduce new bugs??
