Why does my Mail App not show any emails for account verification?

Ive been having this issue for a while and it’s getting really annoying.

Ex: if I were to forget password or create and account and I need to put my email and it sends me a message if I were to go to my mail app there would be nothing there.

I dont understand why it does this and it’s preventing me from getting important things.

The reason is that one or more of your email accounts are not set up correctly. To provide more help you need to tell us:

What kind of email accounts (e.g, iCloud, AOL, gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, optimum, Verizon, etc)
What devices these accounts are configured on
What accounts are listed in Settings/Mail/Accounts, and whether they are turned on or not
Can you access email by visiting the email provider’s webmail site

It’s an ICloud account and I checked and my account is there. How will I be able to do the last one?
