You are correct; Safari itself doesn't offer direct margin adjustments within the print settings. However, you have two options to achieve some control over margins when printing with Safari:

  1. Create a Custom Paper Size:

This is the most effective method. Here's how:

  • In Safari, go to "File" > "Print."
  • Click the dropdown menu for "Paper Size."
  • Choose "Manage Custom Sizes..." at the bottom.
  • Click the "+" sign to create a new size.
  • Set the "Name" for your custom size (e.g., "Borderless Print").
  • Under "Non-Printable Area," select "User Defined."
  • Here, you can set the desired margin sizes (Top, Bottom, Left, Right) in millimeters or inches.
  • Click "OK" to save your custom size.
  • Now, back in the print settings, choose your newly created custom size under "Paper Size."
  1. Scale the Print:

This offers less precise control but might be helpful in some situations.

  • In the Safari print settings, under "Layout," choose "Scale to fit paper size" or a specific percentage (e.g., 90%) to potentially create some margin space around the content.

While Safari doesn't offer direct margin editing like some other browsers, creating a custom paper size allows for precise margin control when printing from Safari.

I've created a custom page (selecting 0 in each margin), but Safari still seems to be adding margins, because it's rearranging printed page content that Chrome leaves alone.

I can't scale the page layout, because I'm printing multiple rows/columns of barcodes onto sticker sheets.

There's 11 rows of 4 barcode labels per row, and while the layout remains intact in Chrome, Safari is cutting off the 4th column and rolling it over to the next row, making it unprintable.
