Create Contact Sheet in Preview??

I have a folder of 11 photos opened in Preview. They show up on the side as Thumbnails. I click on the "Contact Sheet" under "View" and the contact sheet shows up. If I save it as "contact sheet" all it does is to rename the first photo of the 11, "contact sheet."

I've tried going to print as some other people have suggested, but the option to change columns doesn't show up; in fact the right side of my screen looks completely different from what other answers show should be on the right side.

If I save it as a PDF, then each photo is saved as an individual pdf, not combined into a contact sheet.

Any suggestions on how to make this work, please?

TIA

That is just a View, not an object. There doesn't seem to be a way to save/print that view.

You can create a contact sheet in Photos.

In Preview, you can print all of the open files with a set number of pages per sheet in the layout section. Not exactly a contact sheet, but similar.
