Magic Mouse "connection rejected" on Mac Sonoma

My new Sonoma Mac was off for a number of weeks, but when I turned it back on, the magic mouse just wouldn't connect. The magic keyboard is fine, so I am able to hit command and space bar to launch the Bluetooth Exchange window which gives me the option to remove the device from the list, but because the mouse doesn't work at all, it's impossible for me to click on the Remove button! I do have an extra mouse with a USB connection, but there are no USB ports on the new Mac--for whatever reason. Advice?

An Apple Magic Mouse can be Paired ( Configured ) to Only One device at a time.

To UnPair the Magic Mouse from another device.

You need to Forget the Mouse on the Other Device it was use on.

An Apple Magic Mouse, with the builtin battery, can be Re-Charged by using the suppled USB to Lightning Cable
