iPhone 11 pro max ios 17.5.1 camera app issues after update.

When I updated ios to 17.5.1 all of the camera app modes fail apart form time lapse.

Firstly, when camera app opened the camera will give a clear image for a few moment and the freezes and then fails to focus and will not takes photos at all just freezes and looks out of focus. This is on all modes of camera app apart from time lapse. Rear camera functions ok.

Following procedures to try and resolve have had no effect.

Repowering iPhone – close and reopening camera app - Reset settings – complete wipe to factory reset. 

iPhone well looked after and very clean. No lens cover.

Two other camera apps one free and one professional work perfectly no issues.

Other apps that use the camera do not have any issues. Just the ios camera app by itself fails. So, can’t be a hardware failure right?

Before update to ios 17.5.1 all camera app mode functions working perfectly.

All of the settings for the camera are correct.

I am a competent tech and can replace components of the iPhone, but I’m pretty sure this is a bug and not hardware.

Searched for a fix for about a month now with no remedy.
