I don't want to have a passcode on my Apple Watch but if I turn it off and try to access the menu or anything it comes back with a message "Your iPhone has a policy that requires a new Apple Watch passcode".
Is there a setting on my iPhone which is stopping me from turning the watch passcode off?
It's a model MR8Y3CH/A watch (latest?) and my iPhone is the model 12.

That, or the iPhone that this iWatch is paired to, might be using some type of Mobile Digital Management Service like Jamf or some other MDM Service

Is your watch paired to an iPhone that is supplied by or belongs to an employer? Is the iPhone a managed device?

Not sure what these MDM Services are, as far as I know I don't have anything like that installed. All I know is that I have a watch which is just a watch without the passcode activated. A pain the the proverbial but maybe one day I'll get a solution.
