ICloud files vanished

I had a problem with a document that was created on my macbook and was able to access it just fine until today when I just couldn't open it and I could not download it from the ICloud. I don't understand why was it not localy stored on my mac why did I have to download from ICloud but whatever. So I turned off and on the ICloud syncing on my mac to discover that the document and other files went completely missing, they worked just fine the last time I opened them and now they vanished.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.5

Look for folders labeled "iCloud (Archive)" in your user folder, as these may contain copies of your files.
Look for a "moved files" folder in your user directory, which may contain displaced files.

Also, might you have a TimeMachine backup running?

What happened when you tried accessing the file(s) from https://www.icloud.com/?

Was the file(s) there but not openable, or not there at all?

If you deleted it from iCloud Drive accidentally, you can recover it within 28 days:

Hello, I also looked for them on the icloud website, and they are missing there too, also checked the recently deleted folder, they are not there, I did not delete them. The file was jut not openable before I turned off the icloud service from the settings and now after I turned it back on it's not there at all, is just really frustrating that a file i was using constantly and had no issues with a week prior just vanished, and I don't know why that happened.

Later edit: The error that I got while trying to acces the files was "Couldn't communicate with helper application"

I checked the user folder, found a "iCloud (Archive)" folder as well but they were not there, also was wondering why is it showing that i have 4.7 gb on Iclous but only 2gb on disk.
