Apple mail using outlook addresses

I just got an email from MS that says I must update my sign in technology before 9/16 to maintain email access. It has a section called gmail/apple mail that says contact the creator or remove and re-ad your account. Anyone know what’s going on here? I have the latest Apple Mail, maybe this doesn’t impact my outlook email addresses?
