It appears I will be buying the Mac mini M2 Pro with 1 T. Can anyone recommend a 27-inch display under $1500?

I have researched and read reviews of displays online until I'm dizzy. It's important to me to have a vivid (no low lighting) 27-inch screen with excellent webcam and audio because I do live interviews and appearances. I also do graphics. I have a feeling I will end up with the $1500 Apple display because most of the other brands have dim lighting, poor color, no webcam, etc. LG and Samsung appear to be leading the pack. Is there anything out there that is actually set up for the Mac Minis? I'm spoiled by Apple products that work together immediately without headaches.

If you require the display to have a built-in Webcam and speakers, that may limit your choices somewhat.

You can get separate

  • USB sound cards
  • Powered speakers
  • USB microphones
  • USB Webcams (these often have their own microphones)

One "gotcha" with separate USB Webcams is that if your monitor has a very thin bezel, the little clamp that a USB Webcam uses to attach to the monitor may obscure part of your display.

Indeed, the more you have, the more your price is spread between monitor quality and other stuff.

If image quality is your main criteria, choose one for that. Then add a sound system on the stereo out (dedicatef for headphones or else) then a webcam (ligutech or else).

if you are ok with usual sound quality of a monitor (…) you will be served (and probably much better) with a sound system likely under $200…
