missing files after Migration Assistant transfers date from 2017 MacBook Pro to 2024 MacBook Air

Migration assistant appears to have transferred all of the applications, and website data, from my old 2017 MacBook Pro but I don't see any of the files. Should I run Migration Assistant again? I've used the Finder to search for the files but haven't found them. Is there another place that I should look?

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 14.5

The data migration may not have transferred your files as expected. Here are some steps that may help.

On your old Mac:

  1. Back up your Mac.
  2. Update macOS on your Mac.

On your new Mac:

  1. Update macOS on your Mac.
  2. Erase your Mac and reset it to factory settings.

Then, try the data migration again. If the issue persists, contact Apple Support for further assistance.
