I have a Pages document (book) that I am trying to export to EPUB in the reflowable format. When I check the "Include Table of Contents" box in the export dialog, the export messes up section titles (breaks them into separate lines, each on its own page); however, when "Include Table of Contents" is off, section titles are displayed correctly. Why would it do something like that?

You have to contact Apple directly - they don't read these posts. In the Pages app, there is a 'Provide Pages Feedback' link under the Pages menu item - I have used it to good effect in the past - posted a suggestion and received requests for more details, etc from the team that handles Pages at Apple.
Thanks for your reply. It is a commercial product not used in Apple Books only, with the reflowable format as a requirement in some cases. I also suspect that the Pages product team's decision to do it the way I described was inadvertent, so my post may somehow make them review the design:-)
We are fellow users and cannot explain internal Pages product team decisions in the product design. I don't have an alternative for you other than to try the fixed layout option, and that is a wag.
