Doing factory reset for old MacBook Air

I purchased a new computer and need to get rid of my old one. I want to do a factory reset so I can completely wipe the thing clean but all of the online instructions that I am seeing are for computers that are newer than mine.

I have an early 2014 MacBook Air, using the Operating System Big Sur version 11.7.10

Here is an article that may help. Your Mac doesn't have Erase All Content and Settings.
