My Mac opens other apps without my input or mouse pointer movement.

Twice, I've seen my Mac book pro automatically open my messenger or other apps without any action on my part. When they happen, my mouse arrow doesn't move. Does anyone have any suggestions?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.5

A SafeBoot Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.
