App permissions are not showing up in settings
App permissions are not showing up in settings.
I first noticed it on discord, where I tried to send an image and randomly it said that I needed to enable permissions to access my photo library (it was enabled since i got my phone about 7 months ago). When I clicked "Enable in settings", it took me to the settings menu:
Discord:
Allow Discord to access
- Local Network
- Siri & Search
- Notifications
- Live Activities
- Mobile Data
The camera roll/camera permissions setting was just gone. Additionally, when I tried to join a vc, it said my microphone permissions weren't on and there was no way to turn them on.
Later in the day, I tried to upload something on my insta story, I couldn't access my camera roll and hence couldn't upload anything.
This issue is relatively new (i noticed it as of today 30/06/2024) because I was in a vc yesterday on discord and everything worked fine.
How to reproduce:
Go to any application that requires camera/microphone/camera roll permissions and try to use a feature that requires these permissions. The app should say that it doesn't have permissions and provide you a button to take you to settings to turn it on. Once you click the button, you will be sent to the app's settings page and the permissions tab will be missing.
