Samsung SSD not in the files app

So I’ve seen a bunch of discussions on here, plus I’ve watched a bunch of videos. My Samsung T7 still is not showing up in the files app. I have the usb camera adapter as well. I even traded in one hard drive to get the same one because I thought the other might not be working. I need your help to figure this out.

I suggest the you try the following:

  • The USB Camera Adapter might not provide enough power to the T7. Try connecting the T7 to a powered USB hub, then connect the hub to your iPhone via the camera adapter.
  • Double-check to be sure your phone is running the latest version of iOS.
  • For compatibility with iOS, make sure that the T7 must be formatted in exFAT. You mentioned that in your post, but you should verify that is the case.
  • Be sure that the Camera Adapter and the cable connecting the T7 to the adapter are functioning correctly. If possible, try a different cable or adapter to rule out any issues with these components.
  • To rule out the T7 as the culprit, test it with another device (another phone or computer should do):
  • Open the Files app on your phone and navigate to the 'Browse' tab. The drive should appear under 'Locations.' If it doesn't show up automatically, tap the 'More' button (three dots) and see if you can manually connect the drive. If none of these steps help, it might be worth resetting your iPhone's settings. Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset. This won't delete your data, but it will reset system settings, which might resolve the issue.
