Album sharing confusing with family sharing

I am having a problem with sharing pictures in an album with the grandkids that my daughter has created. My wife and I use family sharing. When she sends invites to the album for 1 of us the other is not able to receive the photos and vice versa. It has not been a problem for a long time but now is a problem. We both have separate Apple ID's and like I said we use the family sharing. Thanks for any help on this matter.
