Ipod nano 4th generation not always syncing in Windows 11

I have an Ipod nano 4th generation that has been working for over 12 years and I enjoy using it in my car. Last year I bought a new PC with Windows 11 and gradually started having problems with syncing with Itunes. Of course apple does not support Ipod anymore but I've been told that syncing should still work and there may be issues with software and hardware compatibility. It seems that force starting the Ipod solves the problem until next sync. Updating the Ipod driver does not seem to be an option and I'm using the latest Itunes 12.13.2.3. Any suggestion besides force starting every time? And would it help if I get more recent version of nano series? Thank you.
