There is a lag when I speak on the phone to someone - iPhone 15 Pro Max

When I receive or call someone, and they pick up, there is a delay of at least 10 seconds each time from the moment I speak to when they hear and then respond. I thought this was a one off issue, but it became apparent as I called more and more people there was a 10 second delay between when I spoke and when they heard and answered. For example, when I said "hello" there is 10 second wait and then they'd respond with hello back. Can this be fixed please, I have only had this issue since I got this new phone and was originally fine on my iPhone 14 Plus.

This would seem to be a network issue. Make some change or call your Service provider of support

Wifi calling... Make calls using Wi-Fi on iPhone - Apple Support

Cellular calling... Set up cellular service on iPhone

Have you restarted the iPhone ie power off/on...

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Reset or a Force Restart,

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone>Reset>Reset Network Settings <—————————RESET

If you see SOS, No Service, or Searching on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

The current stable release of iOS including bug fixes, security updates is iOS 17.5.1
