Notification Banner setting for Messages on my iPhone post iOS update

My messages come in and they are just saying “message and notifications”. Yesterday they said the contact name and iMessage. Does anyone know how to fix this? This started with the last update.... 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'm assuming that you have Settings>Notifications>Messages>Show Preview set to "Never". There have been a number of threads in the forum in which people are reporting that they no longer see the name of the contact in this case. Something seems to have changed, at least for some people, but I don't know the cause.

What do you have Notification Grouping set to?

I don't know why this issue is suddenly cropping up. But it has been happening enough in the last couple of weeks that I've noticed. I don't know what the common denominators are. You might try searching for some of the other threads to see if you can put together any of the pieces.

I have mine set to Show Previews, and that hasn't changed in any way.
