Fileproviderd persistent high CPU usage (>98%)
I have had som problems managing files on my Mac, for instance moving documents into folders and creating new folders. Looking into this I have found in my activity monitor that "fileproviderd" constantly uses between 98% and 100% of my CPU.
When I force quit the fileproviderd, the changes I tried to make in my files (eg creating a new folder) is executed. However, if I try to make a new change, the problem persists.
I have tried to turn off iCloud. I dont think I have any other active cloud syncing applications in use.
I have used cleanMyMac X for a cleanup and scan, but it found nothing of interest.
I have started my Mac in safe mode but the high CPU usage persists.
I am using a MacBook Air (M1, 2020) and MacOS Sonoma
What can I do? Thanks in advance
