When on facetime, and i want to open like messages and other applications on my Iphone, the facetime just have like the floating bar on top, not the Screen where you can still see who you are talking to, basically turns off my camera when i go back home. A friend of mine uses facetime with me, and does have the floating screen when he goes home in his iphone.

What I have experienced is that you have to swipe the face time gently to the top to get the floating screen. It will also not always come up for me, sometimes I have the floating screen and sometimes not
