Evernote .ENEX files won't preserve source-URLs when imported into Apple Notes

Hi everyone,

I would love to migrate my notes from Evernote to the Apple Notes app. Exporting notebooks or individual notes from Evernote using the .ENEX format works fairly well. However, when I import these .ENEX files into Apple Notes, it preserves my #tags but doesn’t show the source URL of each note. This means I can’t backtrack to the original source where I took, for example, a picture.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Or does anyone know how to solve it?

The only solution I can think of is to manually copy the URL from the metadata of each note in Evernote and paste it as plain text into the note itself… but I have over 5000 notes in Evernote 🥲

Thanks & Bye

Apple's Notes does not promise to import URLs for your Evernote .enex files and that absence after the fact is stated by Import your notes and files to the Notes app - Apple Support as:

"If a note in Evernote has an attachment or feature that the Notes app doesn't support, that note is imported without that attachment or feature."

All you can do is send direct feedback (as a feature request) to the Apple Notes Product team who do not participate here. You should also have the latest release of macOS on your MacBook Pro as is supported by it.
