Calculator has disappeared from my iPad control center. How do I get it back in control center? Going to settings - Control Center - no calculator to add…WHY?

To date, unlike iPhone, all versions of iOS/iPadOS for iPad have not had a built-in Calculator App - and as such this will not have been available within the Control Centre.
While the native Calculator App is not available for iPad (but will be coming in iPadOS 18 later this year), there are many free and paid third-party alternatives. One of the very best calculators in the App Store - arguably superior to the iPhone's Calculator App, completely free and without advertisements - is Sci:Pro Calculator:

Apple never provided a Calculator app on iPad (although one will be introduced with iPadOS 18 this fall).
But you can still perform calculations on your iPad using Spotlight.
