Does i cloud keep the backup from the .99$ paid icloud once i cancel the subscription so i can lets say have it on a new device later?

If we pay for the 99cent icloud 50 GB we are paying for the data but i would like to know if apple deletes the back ups once you cancel the subscription.

are we forced to pay the subscription for that feature?

would the only other option be syncing lets say the i phone to a mac to have the data somewhere else?

also apple should have a storage device that works with IOS where the voice memos, notes etc can be saved or backed up with the original recording date instead of the new transferred or downloaded file date.
