Mail Error: The Import Failed

Hello,

I've been continuously having issues with an email import on my iMac and am on OS 14.5. 'The import failed. An error occurred during the import. Make sure you have space available in hour home folder and try again.'

I have over 600 GB of space on the hard drive, and Mail is working on my iPhone. I'm not sure how to make the space available or what needs to happen for the import to be successful, but I've tried reimporting with only my gmail and not my Apple mail and it still continues to give this message.

I've searched the apple help area and haven't seen any next steps or reference to this issue. Any ideas of what I can do as next steps?
