iPhone notification volume in Phonak hearing aids

New Phonak hearing aids, linked to my iPhone - whenever something comes in I get a very loud notification tone in my hearing aids and would like to reduce the volume. I like hearing the notification tones in the hearing aids, but they are just way too loud. Does anyone out there know how to reduce the notification tone volume? (This may be more a Phonak issue that iPhone.)
