Send Button/Arrow Not Working for Messages; iPhone X iOS 16.7.8

The send/up-arrow button has suddenly stopped working for Messages/texting on our iPhone X (iOS 16.7.8). The phone is otherwise working normally.

Unfinished/unsent text message disappears On my iPhone 16.5 when I have a text message about ready to send and a new message comes and I click to see it, when returning to complete the text message not yet sent it is no where to be found. This situation has happened to me a few times and it is frustrating - of course it has to be when I have a long message too!!! Is there any way I can get that unfinished and unsent message back? TYIA

Can’t select bottom conversation in imessage on iPad Air 4 So when having one pinned message and 14 other messages I can not get down to my 14th message to click on it. I can only scroll down to the 13th message and then it’s stuck down there. If I release scrolling it will not go down. I’m running 16.1 on iPad Air 4. Ive rebooted the device and that doesn’t fix the issue. I can see all my iMessages and scroll down fine on my iPhone 14 Pro but it’s just not working on my iPad. It was working fine before 16.1 iPadOS.
