connecting iPhone 15 to a desktop with just USB input

I assume I need an adaptive cord that goes from my Apple desktop computer that has four USB input slots to my iPhone 15 that has a USB-C input at the bottom of the phone. Will this solve my connection issue? I want to connect my phone so I can transfer music from the desktop to the phone.

It should. Here is one from Apple:

About the Apple USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple Support

That specifically states it connects an iPhone or iPad with USB-C connector to the USB-A port on a Mac.

There are many other third-party adapters as well.
