New battery in iPad mini 4 is draining just as fast as old one - lasts barely 2 hours of ordinary browsing

Now on 2nd new battery and no difference. Service bloke (not Apple specialist) says it is a mainboard issue but not being specific. Is there a simple way to test the mainboard.

Am hoping he isn't putting dud batteries in - both seem not to have made any improvement.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps I wasn't sufficiently clear...

Diagnostic software with which to test your iPad is not available outside of Apple - and Apple will now not assist with your iPad. As such, there is very little that you can do with the iPad other than to consider its replacement.

If your independent repairer is unable to resolve the problem, your only viable options are to live with what you have, or replace it.
