Is iMazing safe to install on my MacBook Air M2

Hi I would like to install iMazing on my MacBook Pro M2. I know Apple says only download applications from the App Store. So I wanted to know if iMazing is genuine and safe to install on my Mac?

Thanks

MacBook Air, macOS 14.5

I haven't seen a statement by Apple that says "only download applications from the App Store."

There is an option in Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security > Allow applications downloaded from: App Store or App Store and identified developers.

I have several well known apps not available in the App Store. I don't have iMazing but don't know of any reason that it wouldn't be safe as long as you download it directly from their website. Apps downloaded from sites other than the developers website can be higher risk.
