Logitech wireless mouse connects to MacBook Pro by USB reader but will not function properly
I can only scroll using the up/down arrows even though mouse cursor arrow appears. Mouse does nothing.

Sorry, but the title of your post does not make sense ... at least, not to me.
What do you mean by connects by USB reader? A Logitech wireless mouse would connect either by Bluetooth or by using a Logitech-propriety USB dongle receiver. How exactly are you connecting this wireless mouse to your MacBook Pro?
