iTunes started playing in the middle of the night on my phone

I woke up to my phone playing a song in the middle of the night. It was a Beatles song that I had not played for years. I paused it went back to sleep. Next morning I checked my phone and opened iTunes and it was set on the last song I had played, not the one I heard in the middle of the night. It also didn't show it had been open in the tray. Seemed weird. Anyone else have this happen?
