Can FaceTime calls be delayed on other Apple devices?

My wife just opened her MacBook Pro beside me and started getting a FaceTime call from me. My phone was next to me on charge, my iPad was in front of me as I was using it and my MacBook is closed in sleep mode. The last time I called my wife was 2:33PM, she received the call at 9:20PM. Weird right?

can these calls be delayed like this? She answered my call at 2:33PM so I have no idea why it would be ringing. I’m checking my signed in devices and nothing is out of the ordinary… what should I do?
