What adjustments can be made to an Apple Watch to prevent wrist discomfort?

I finally decided to look and see if anyone else wearing an Apple Watch was having wrist pain and to my surprise the comments were there. I have had my Apple Watch for several years now. Around April this year my wrist started hurting and I didn’t understand why. I don’t wear my watch to bed but I do wear it all during the day.

I massaged my wrist , iced it, and put pain cream on it for weeks while continuing to wear the watch during the day. The pain didn’t go away but intensified so I took off my watch for a few days .

My wrist felt a little better after the break so I put back on my watch and the pain progressively started again to intensify. This is problematic and it needs to be addressed. If it’s nerve damage then that could potentially cause long term damage to my wrist.

Consult your primary care physician. If you think it’s neuropathy you need to seek professional advice and treatment. You might also have a repetitive motion disorder similar to carpal tunnel syndrome.

I had a wife that had carpal tunnel and she couldn’t wear a watch. The frequent twisting of her wrist to view the time (this was years ago before smart watches) aggravated her condition.
