I am trying to access photos from an old iPhoto library. I have my old Macbook air's SSD in a new encasement so right now it's working as an USB.
I can't access opening the photos as that app is no longer supported. The app details say it's the 2016 version, last updated in Oct 2017. When I right click and "view contents" there is no list of master files/originals.
I am running Sonoma 14.5
Any advice as how I can get my photos back?

Photos versions before macOS Ventura would open older libraries if you held down the option key while opening the Photos app.
However, macOS Ventura and later will not open iPhoto libraries. You can open the Photos app then select Import on the File menu. See information in Import photos from another library in Photos on Mac - Apple Support
That will import the photos but not Events or Albums.
