External Display doesnt work with M3 MacBook Air

Hi there,

i´ve got recently a MacBook Air M3 (Sonoma 14.5)

In my homesetup my Display doesnt get recognised at all.

The display is a Philips 346B1C 3440x1440 60Hz. It has a USB-C which is USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 (PD 90 W).

The Display worked pretty well with a MacBook Air M2 and a MacBook Pro M1.

Just plug in the USB-C and get a Display. PD and a KVM (Mouse, Keyboard).

But with the M3 there isnt anything. Like there isnt anything plugged in.

Ive seen articles with similar problems but with Sonoma 14.1 . In Sonoma 14.4.1 were update notes for USB hubs in Displays. But that nothing works?

Anyone have this Display or a similar problem or solution?

macOS doesn’t push video over USB. The display needs to support DisplayPort or Thunderbolt through the USB-C port. It sounds like it does support one of those since it worked before. The fact that it also pushes USB 3.2 through the same port may be confusing Sonoma. If it is possible to disable USB on the port from the onscreen menu, try that.

Did you connect it directly to the USB-C port on the Mac?
