Assistive Access mode - Clock App > Setting an Alarm
iPad Pro 10.5 / iPhone 12.
iOS 17.5.1
Like other folks, I identified bug where when using ASSISTIVE ACCESS MODE the Alarm will not make a sound. Confusing, as the tones are heard when setting up the Alarm. Anyway, I decided to try to use a Music track instead…. Bad idea…
USE CASE: Clock App - set an Alarm with desired time > choose a song as alarm tone. Exit Clock App.
- Selected time is reached and the device screen briefly flashes white displaying current time, no sound is heard.
- Immediately the device will then flash a black screen with spinning icon for a few seconds.
- The device then proceeds to switch back and forth between the white screen with time, and black screen with spinning icon. Displaying each screen for a few seconds.
- The duration the black screen with icon is displayed, increases slightly every time it is displayed.
INPUT: Attempt to exit Assistive Access mode by pressing Home Button rapidly 3 times, which will successfully bring up menu to exit Assistive Access, but insufficient time is given for input before screen flashes black with spinning icon. Consequently the device is stuck in loop alternating between the 2 screens.
