Using HomePod as a speaker for MacMini

I'm just getting a MacMini, will I be able to use my HomePod as a speaker?

The Technical Specifications for all of the HomePods indicate that they have BlueTooth. However, I think that the way you would normally send stuff from a Mac mini to a HomePod would be using AirPlay.
